Mifflinburg Oktoberfest

Visitors, please check back on our events calendar during the year and contact our museum for tickets or additional information.

Unless otherwise noted, all events are held on the Museum grounds, 6th and Green Streets, Mifflinburg. Please call, 570-966-1355, to confirm events before traveling great distances.

First Thursday nights Bingo- each month we continue to have our Bingo nights- light dinner and snacks are available- most games are only $0.25 per card with specials throughout the night.
Doors open at 6:00 PM- games start at 6:30PM.

May 7

First Thursday Bingo.

Cash, pay as you play bingo, 6:15 to 9:00 pm. Bring a canned good or non-perishable food item for the Mifflinburg Food Bank.

May 14 - July 5.

A Costumer’s Legacy: Helen Fontana Bechdel.

A temporary exhibit in the Degenstein Gallery to honor Helen Bechdel, actress, costumer, and teacher.
Open regular Museum hours at no additional fee.

May 16

Mifflinburg MayFest, sponsored by Mifflinburg Heritage
and Revitalization Association (MHRA)

May 17

International Museum Day.

Celebrate museums and historic preservation with free admission.
10:00 am to 5:00 pm

June 27

Union County Veterans Parade in Lewisburg.

June 28

Annual Garden Tour.

Enjoy private gardens in and around Mifflinburg, demonstrations, refreshments, local crafts to purchase. Tickets are $10.00 per person. 1:00 to 6:00 pm

July 4

Bingo in the Park.

Enjoy cash bingo as part of the town’s festivities in the park.
Bingo begins at 6:00 pm and continues until 10:00.

July 7, 8, 9

Summer History Camp.

Children enjoy hands-on activities and learn about history at the Buggy Museum, Elias Church and Weirick House. This is a one day camp that is run for three consecutive days. Open to children 5 – 12, $15.00 per child, group rates available. 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please call the Buggy Museum to register.

July 18

Buggy Day.

Celebrating three centuries of heritage. 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

August 16

Museum closed for staff training

September 3

Cash, pay as you play bingo, 6:15 to 9:00 pm. In honor of Grandparents Day, bring a grandparent or grandchild to play bingo and get a free game for you and your guest(s).

September 10 - October 25.

The Gift: New Donations to the Museum.

A temporary exhibit in the Degenstein Gallery of the Visitor Center to show off objects donated to the Museum’s permanent collection over the last ten years. Available during regular Museum hours.

September 26

Motorcycle Run.

Motorcycle and automobile run between the Buggy Museum and another destination. Scavenger hunt along the route. 9:00 to 5:00 pm

October 1

Cash, pay as you play bingo, 6:15 to 9:00 pm.

October 2, 3

Mifflinburg’s Oktoberfest, sponsored by MHRA.

Join the festivities at the VFW fairgrounds. The Buggy Museum holds a Cow Plop Bingo in conjunction with the event. For more information on the Oktoberfest, log onto www.mifflinburgpa.com.

October 25

Museum season closing.

The museum complex closes for the winter.

November 5

Cash, pay as you play bingo, 6:15 to 9:00 pm. Bring an unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots.

November 14

Apple Festival at Green Ridge Market.

Dust off your baking dishes and enter our contest for either best apple pie, best apple anything or best pumpkin anything. Prizes are gift certificates to Green Ridge Market and all entries are auctioned off to benefit the Buggy Museum. Entries must be received by 9:00 am, auction at 11:30 am.
