Amen to that, Malcolm.
Here’s what I had to say about the whole “is this anarchy or isn’t it” issue:
McLaren was always deliberate in his anarchy; that’s one of the things that’s been held against him since the beginning. He liked having chaos all around him, and being the still centre or if you prefer, the ringleader. The calls for mayhem went out and it’s my understanding were heeded, but there were never any calls to interrupt the funeral itself. To celebrate with mayhem, yes. To interfere with Malcolm McLaren’s plans, no.
