New Year’s Eve is the lousiest holiday of the year, FACT (unless you’re Scottish, in which case it is the most awesome). The only good time I ever had was at a party Doug and the Slugs were playing, and Doug Bennett looked out at the audience (who were all in black, as befitted a 90′s crowd) and said, “Looks like a Yuppie funeral! Oh wait; you’re all half-naked too!”

New Year’s Eve is made considerably merrier if you French 75 your Champagne, even if the morning after is made that much more painful. SO WORTH IT.

All in all, 2011 has been a MUCH better year than 2010, so let’s all keep the trend going. It’s Be Nice to Raincoaster Year, officially. I just declared it.
