Oktoberfest Lees Summit

Let your pooch strut their stuff at the 2015 Oktoberfest Dog Contest! This year we have three contests that you can select from to show off the amazing talents of your best friend!

DATE: Saturday, September 26
TIME: Check-in at 10 a.m., event starts at 10:30 a.m.
PLACE: Main Stage on Douglas Street in downtown Lee’s Summit
ENTRY FEE: Day of entries will be $10 per dog.
CONTEST CATEGORIES INCLUDE (SELECT ONE):

• Costume contest: Open to all breeds. Contestants will be judged based on the most creative costume. (Limited to the first 30 entries)
• Weiner dog Race: Open to dachshunds only. Dogs will race to the finish-line. Two handlers must be present for contest. (Limited to the first 50 entries)
• Hotdog Bobbing: Open to all breeds. Each pet will have a pie pan filled with water and chunks of hotdogs to bob for. The first dog to retrieve all the pieces wins. (Limited to the first 10 entries)

PRIZES: Prizes are courtesy of Doggy Stylz, and will be awarded to the top three in each category/contest.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:

• Entry form must be completed for every dog
• Dogs may only participate in one category
• All dogs must be restrained
• Female dogs in heat will not be permitted
• Grocery carts and wagons may be used to haul dogs; no cars or trucks will be permitted
• Awards will be presented at the event immediately following each contest
